What are PFAS?
PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a large group of man-made chemicals that have been used in some industries to create water-, oil-, or stain-resistant materials. Because they are very persistent in the environment, they are sometimes referred to as “forever chemicals.”
PFAS have been used in products such as nonstick cookware, certain textiles, and some water-repellent finishes. Due to increasing scientific and regulatory scrutiny we do not intentionally use these substances.
Why do we test for PFAS?
Even when a company does not intentionally add PFAS to its products, trace amounts can sometimes be detected in consumer goods due to widespread environmental presence or supply chain contamination.
Testing is part of our broader commitment to responsible sourcing and manufacturing. Our products were tested in November 2025 by an independent third-party laboratory using Alkaline Hydrolysis Method and Determined By Liquid Chromatographic – Tandem Mass Spectrometric (LC-MS/MS). No detectable PFAS were identified above the laboratory’s reporting limits using current analytical methods.

What does “non-detect” mean?
“Non-detect” means that PFAS were not found above the laboratory’s reporting limits using the specified testing method.
Every laboratory test has a measurable detection threshold. If a substance is present below that threshold, it cannot be reliably quantified and will be reported as “non-detect.”
In plain terms: based on current testing methods, no measurable PFAS were identified in the tested samples.
Do we use PFAS in our products?
We do not intentionally add PFAS to our materials, treatments, or manufacturing processes. We conduct independent third-party testing to help verify this commitment.
