This page is dedicated to Thistle and Spire's furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion actions and initiatives.
The value of inclusion is at the core of our brand. As a woman-owned and operated business, we know that we have the ability to make an impact not just within the lingerie industry, but also within the communities that we serve. As a small but mighty team of five people, we work hard to integrate this value into our daily operations. We are committed to expanding these efforts as our business and our team continues to grow.
EXPANDED SIZES
In 2020 we introduced 38 bands, E cups, and Buxom bralettes. This is just the beginning. We can't wait to share our new offerings with you later this year!
COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS
As of April, 2021, we have donated over $30,000 to organizations including the ACLU, BSWC and the Mayor's Fund Campaign for COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund in the last year.
We are always looking for ways in which to expand these efforts and will continue to provide updates on our contributions.
SHAMELESS AND SPIRED BLOG
We believe in using our platform to amplify diverse perspectives on our blog. Past blogs include:
BSWC: The Black Sex Worker Collective
Gabrielle Alexa Noel: What Pride Means to Me
We regularly feature new voices on our blog so be sure to check back often.
INTERNAL EFFORTS
Training and Education:
Since our Fall update, we've hosted several internal educational sessions, including a facilitator-led anti-racism training in January, followed by bias training in March. We will continue to take the opportunity to learn and develop so that we can best serve our customers, our communities, and each other.
Hiring Practices:
As we expand our team, we will continue our efforts to ensure a diverse and equitable workplace.
